ACRACB 25th ANNIVERSARY CONTEST

In 2026, the Cultural Association of Amateur Radio Operators Costa Blanca (ACRACB) celebrates its 25th Anniversary.
We started as a group of friends with the goal of organizing activities in Alicante to promote our city — and that was 25 years ago. We later gained recognition across the rest of Spain through the various award programs we offer and enjoy together, and to this day we carry the same enthusiasm and drive as when we first began.
Thank you for staying with us throughout these years. To commemorate this milestone, we are launching the following contest.

CONTEST OVERVIEW
This is a 20-day contest in which participants may make contacts on all available Bands and Modes.
Date and Time: From 8:00 AM (Spain local time) on May 1 through 10:00 PM (Spain local time) on May 20, 2026.
Eligibility: All licensed amateur radio stations worldwide, as well as SWLs (for HF, and VHF).
Bands: Valid contacts may be made in any mode — SSB, CW, or digital modes — on the 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10, and 6 meter bands, with any of the special event stations (e.g., AO5RKB).
Special Event Stations:
AO1RKB · AO2RKB · AO3RKB · AO4RKB · AO5RKB · AO6RKB · AO7RKB · AO8RKB · AO9RKB · AO25RKB
HF: One contact per band per day is permitted. Machine-generated modes (MGM) such as FT8/FT4, RTTY, PSK, etc., as well as CW, are valid — always within the IARU-recommended frequency segments.

HF AWARDS

BRONZE DIPLOMA
18 contacts on different days, regardless of Band or Mode, with 5 different AO special event stations.
SILVER DIPLOMA
A minimum of 36 contacts across 3 Bands with 7 different AO special event stations, regardless of Mode.
GOLD DIPLOMA
A minimum of 82 contacts across 3 Bands with 7 different AO special event stations, regardless of Mode.

HF TROPHIES

Mixed Mode — National Ranking
Gold Trophy + Diploma — Overall National Champion.
Silver Trophy + Diploma — National Runner-Up.
Bronze Trophy + Diploma — 3rd Place National.
Mixed Mode — International Ranking
Gold Trophy + Diploma — Overall International Champion.
Silver Trophy + Diploma — International Runner-Up.
Bronze Trophy + Diploma — 3rd Place International.
SSB Mode — National Category
Gold Trophy + Diploma — National SSB Champion.
MGM Mode — National Category
Gold Trophy + Diploma — National MGM Champion.
CW Mode — National Category
Gold Trophy + Diploma — National CW Champion.

AWARD DELIVERY
Awards will be presented at the Association's annual dinner on October 3, 2026. No award will be shipped by any other means unless the recipient covers shipping costs: €15 within Spain (Mainland). For international shipping, please inquire.
Trophy for all stations achieving 100 or more contacts: Trophy cost is €30 including shipping to mainland Spain; €25 if picked up at the awards dinner; €20 for ACRACB members.
Award Limit Per Participant
• Each participant may only receive one first-place award across the entire contest, regardless of how many categories they enter.
• If a participant achieves the highest score in more than one category, the first-place award will be granted in only one category — the one in which they obtained the greatest relative advantage or the highest absolute score (or as determined by the organizing committee).
• The first-place award in any remaining category(ies) will be passed down to the next highest-scoring participant who has not already been awarded a first-place prize.
• Under no circumstances may a single participant accumulate first-place awards in multiple categories.
• Trophies will be awarded in accordance with ACRACB rules.

CONTACT GRANTERS
Contacts are granted by ACRACB members and collaborators, one contact per band, per day, per mode.
By participating in this contest, participants agree to these rules. All decisions made by the Organizing Committee are final and binding.
Participants placing in each category may download their personalized diploma in PDF format from the website, free of charge. There is no need to submit QSO logs, as the log will be available on the website.

During the contest period, several stations will be active on air, rotating among the different special event callsigns.
BRONZE DIPLOMA
25 contacts with different special event callsigns.
SILVER DIPLOMA
50 contacts with different special event callsigns.
GOLD DIPLOMA
75 contacts with different special event callsigns.

VHF TROPHIES

Gold Trophy + Diploma — Overall Champion, Alicante Zone 5 and Málaga Zone 7.
Silver Trophy + Diploma — Runner-Up, Alicante Zone 5 and Málaga Zone 7.
Bronze Trophy + Diploma — 3rd Place, Alicante Zone 5 and Málaga Zone 7.
Awards will be presented at the annual dinner on October 3, 2026. Shipping to mainland Spain: €15.

If you would like to receive your diploma printed on foam board, please send €15 to cover printing and shipping costs (mainland Spain).

SWLs must submit their list of received stations to hf_diplomas@acracb.org by June 10, 2026. Diplomas will be sent by email.

• Limitation of prizes per awardee:
Each awardee may only receive one first-place prize across the entire competition, regardless of the number of categories in which they participate.
If an awardee obtains the highest score in more than one category, they will only be awarded the prize for one of those categories, specifically the one in which they achieved the greatest relative advantage or highest absolute score (or the one determined by the organizers).
The first-place prize in the remaining category(ies) will be awarded to the next highest-ranked awardee, excluding the awardee who has already received a prize.
Under no circumstances may an awardee accumulate first-place prizes in different categories.
