Cluster Hunters Activators Statistics Rules

The “ 20° DIPLOMA PALAZZO REALE DI CASERTA” is an international award open to all OMs and SWLs worldwide and organized by the A.R.I. CASERTA Section.

VALIDITY PERIOD:
The Award will start on 01 November 2025 (00:00 UTC) and will end on 10 November 2025 (23:59 UTC).

During the event the “activating stations” will be:
- the Section callsign IQ8DO
- the special callsign IR8PR
- ALL members of the A.R.I. CASERTA Section with their respective callsigns.

The list of activating stations will be published on the Section website www.aricaserta.it .
The event will be managed by the HAMAWARD platform.

OBJECTIVE:
Make as many contacts as possible with:
- the Section callsign IQ8DO
- the special callsign IR8PR
- the participating members of the A.R.I. CASERTA Section.

PARTICIPANTS:
The award is open to all radio amateurs and SWLs worldwide.

BANDS:
All bands according to the IARU Band Plan from 160 to 10 meters, including WARC bands.

MODES:
the following emission modes are allowed: CW, SSB and DIGITAL modes (RTTY-PSK-FT4-FT8)

CALL:
- SSB: “CQ 20° DIPLOMA PALAZZO REALE DI CASERTA”
- CW and DIGITAL: “CQ PR CE”

REPORTS:
RS(T) report only.

LIMITATIONS:
All activating stations may be contacted EVERY DAY OF THE EVENT.
Contacts with activating stations on the same day can be made in all modes allowed by the rules, and on all the specified bands (the HAMAWARD wall shall prevail).
Any QSOs made on the same day, on the same band and mode will be considered “dupes”.

SCORE PER SINGLE QSO:
Each valid contact will be assigned a score based on the following rules:
- QSO with the “Jolly” station IQ8DO: 6 points
- QSO with the Special Callsign IR8PR: 4 points
- QSO with A.R.I. CASERTA members: 2 points

During the event:
- the callsign IQ8DO will also be valid as reference DRB-TL278 “Ex Caserma Sacchi” (ARI Caserta Headquarters), all contacts are worth 6 points and the same contacts will also be valid for credit of the DIPLOMA REALE BORBONICO.
- the callsign IR8PR/P will also be engaged in portable activity with reference DCI CE-023, all contacts are worth 4 points and the same contacts will also be valid for credit of the DCI AWARD.

TOTAL SCORE:
General sum of the individual QSO scores.

CATEGORY RANKINGS:
- OM/SWL and ITA Sections that have reached a score of at least 50 points;
- European OM/SWL who have reached a score of at least 30 points;
- Extra-European OM/SWL who have reached a score of at least 30 points;
- YL who have reached a score of at least 30 points;
- OM ARI Caserta members (compete only for the HAMAWARD activator ranking);
- “GOLD” OM/SWL/YL and clubs that have contacted/listened to the “Jolly” station IQ8DO and the special callsign IR8PR at least once on 4 different bands.

PRIZES:
- 1st - 2nd and 3rd Classified Italian OM
- 1st Classified OM Europe
- 1st Classified OM outside Europe
- 1st Classified YL
- 1st Classified SWL
- 1st Classified “IQ”
- 1st - 2nd and 3rd Classified OM of the A.R.I. CASERTA Section
- GOLD to the 1st overall Classified OM/SWL

In case of a tie, the total number of QSOs will prevail.
For the 1st Classified Europeans and Extra-Europeans or for expeditions outside Italy, upon request, the prize will be sent with shipping costs paid by the recipient.
A PDF award is available for download from the HAMAWARD platform.
Stations that do not reach the score will be able to download the certificate of participation from the HAMAWARD platform.
In addition, upon request, you can request the “ARI CASERTA COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE” depicting the ROYAL PALACE of CASERTA, with a contribution of € 15.00.

ONLINE AWARD:
In addition to the ranking with prizes, at the end of the event it will be possible to download the “ranked award” in electronic format from the HAMAWARD platform.

eQSL:
During and after the event it will be possible to download the eQSLs of every QSO made through the HAMAWARD platform.

QSL:
BUREAU only

For the occasion, for those who request it, a paper QSL will be sent via BUREAU for the contacts made with the “jolly IQ8DO” station.

LOGS AND SCORES:
Participants are not required to send any log.
All logs of participating stations will be uploaded to the HAMAWARD website. The score achieved by each participating station will be automatically published online in real time on the HAMAWARD platform.

JUDGMENT:
The A.R.I. Caserta committee is composed of the Members of the Executive Board of the A.R.I. Caserta Section, and is responsible for the relevant checks, the assignment and validation of scores and the validation of the final rankings. All participants are required to strictly follow the official rules in force regarding amateur radio traffic and the rules of good conduct dictated by the “HAM Spirit”. Violation of the rules and non-compliance with these regulations, as well as any behavior deemed unsportsmanlike, may result in the application of penalties or the adoption of disciplinary measures, including disqualification.

THE COMMITTEE’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
