![]() One hundred years ago, amateur radio associations around the world decided to create a body to represent them. Thus was born the I.A.R.U., the International Amateur Radio Union, of which the A.R.I. is the only Italian affiliate. To celebrate both the 130th anniversary of the invention of radio and the 100th anniversary of the IARU, the ARI – Italian Radio Amateurs Association – is announcing an Amateur Radio Award called "The 130-100 Award," meaning 130 years of radio and 100 years of the IARU. From September 15 to October 15, 2025, many ARI activating stations will be present on the HF amateur radio bands, as follows: 1) Stations of the participating ARI Sections, with their own callsign (prefix: IQ) 2) Stations of the participating ARI Sections with S.E.S callsign “Radio”: Prefixes II and IR, first letter of the four-letter suffix always R. 3) Stations of the participating ARI Sections with S.E.S. callsign “IARU”: Prefixes II o IR + call-area+ IARU (es. II1IARU o IR1IARU. Nuovo Diploma delle Sezioni – ASC Award: All callsigns will be associated to a Special ASC (SASC) valid for New ARI Sections Award – ASC Award. The SASC will be reported on the electronic QSL cards available at Hamaward web site (www.hamaward.cloud) The list of the participating stations is available at web site https://www.ari.it/ Time: From 15th September 2025 at 00:00 Central Europe Time, (22:00 UTC of 14th September) to 15th October 2024 at 23:59’59” CET (21:59’59” UTC). Each station can be worked once on same band and mode in September and once on same band and mode in October. DUPES will be eliminated by the system without penalties. Bands: all 9 HF bands: 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12 e 10 m. according with the laws and limitations. Modes: SSB, CW, FT8, RTTY (baudot), MFSK (only sub-mode FT4 from now called only FT4). *N.B.: PSK includes all sub-modes, like PSK31, PSK125, QPSK31, etc. Therefore if you contact the same station on the same band for example once in PSK31 and a second time in PSK125, the latter QSO will be worth 0 points Categories: 1) ARI Stations with prefix IQ 2) ARI Stations with special callsign II#Rxxx or IR#Rxxx 3) ARI Stations with callsign II#IARU / IR#IARU 4) Hunters: we strongly recommend to login at www.hamaward.cloud to manage your Award Points: each QSO complete and validated by the Hamaward platform with IQ Stations will worth: • 1 point: in FT4 and FT8 • 2 points: in SSB, RTTY and PSK • 3 points: in CW Please pay attention: not all IQ Stations are valid for this Award: the list of the valid station is published below. Each QSO with II#Rxxx, IR#Rxxx, II#IARU and IR#IARU will worth: • 1 point: in FT4 and FT8 • 3 points: in SSB, RTTY and PSK • 5 points: in CW The Award is structured on seven classes, here are the levels: 1) “Base”: 100 points 2) “Bronze”: 250 points 3) “Silver”: 500 points 4) “Gold”: 750 points 5) “Platinum”: 1000 points 6) “Emerald”: 1250 punti 7) “Diamond”: 1500 punti Hamaward: all activators are registered on the Hamaward. Hunters can follow and check their progresses on the web site www.hamaward.cloud in real time, and once reached the level, be able to download their Awards. Also available for each QSO the electronic QSLs, valid for New ARI Sections Award - ASC Award. Standings: a) Activators wit IQ prefix b) Activators “Radio” (II#Rxxx e IR#Rxxx) c) Activators “IARU” (II#IARU e IR#IARU) d) Hunters They will be published on www.ari.it All calculations will be done by the Hamaward platform, nothing to send nothing to apply for. Awards and eQSL: they can be downloaded from same platform. The Awards are only in PDF format, and can be downloaded after the end of the event. Electronic QSLs can be downloaded anytime. Paper QSL: IQ Stations can reply to incoming paper QSL cards. Special Event Stations with prefixes II and IR will send only eQSL. SWL: a Certificate for SWL that listened to at least 15 different Activating Stations is available. Please send a GCR list to: ik2uvr@ari.it The GCR list must contain all the following data: Callsign of the Activating Station, Date, UTC, Band, Mode and Callsign of the Station that was in QSO with the Activating Station. Participation in the Award automatically implies acceptance of these regulations and consent to the publication of one's name in the various rankings on the ARI information channels, namely the website and Radio Rivista. In the event of any dispute, the manager's decision is final and unappealable.
