ARI Section of Magenta, to commemorate the Battle of 4 June 1859 , one of the most significant of the Second War of Independence and fundamental in the historical process that favored the Unification of Italy, organizes the “BATTLE OF MAGENTA AWARD” 2025

PARTICIPATION
It is open to all Italian and foreign OM/YL and SWL .

PERIOD
The award will take place from 1st to 30th June 2025 , in conjunction with the “Giugno Magentino” celebrations

BANDS
MF/HF: 160, 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 meters
V/UHF: 6 and 2 meters, 70 cm

MODES
SSB , CW, Digital Modes . QSO via repeaters and Internet nodes are prohibited. Any form of automation (robot) without the presence of the operator is also prohibited in digital modes.

SPECIAL CALL
The award will be activated with the special callsign IR2BMAG by the members of the ARI Magenta Section.

SCORE and RANKINGS HUNTERS
Each QSO is worth:
Way HF, V/UHF
FT8 and FT4 1 point, 5 points
SSB and other DIGITAL MODES (excluding FT4, FT8) 2 points, 10 points
CW 3 points, 15 points

ACTIVATORS
The OM/YL of the ARI Magenta Section who will operate with the special callsign will compete in an internal ranking based on the number of QSOs made.
The IR2BMAG station can be worked only once a day for each band/mode combination. Any DUPE will be discarded by the system automatically and without penalty.

AWARD CLASSES and QSL
The Battle of Magenta Award 2025 is awarded in four classes upon reaching the following scores:
1) Bronze ” class: 50 points
2) “Silver” class: 100 points
3) “Gold” class: 250 points
4) “Platinum” class: 500 points

QSOs with the special station IR2BMAG will also be valid for the ASC Award diploma (New Diploma of the Sections). SASC-L166BMAG

All activators will use the HamAward platform to manage the Award.
Hunters are invited to register on the website www.hamaward.cloud to verify their position, as well as to download the Award and QSLs.
Sending Logs is not required by OM/YLs but only by any SWLs who wish to receive the Award.
