Please notice: only the stations listed above will take part in the event. Any contact with other IY, IQ and GB stations not listed does not count towards this Award.

The Award will be managed via the Hamaward facility at www.hamaward.cloud. Chasers can login to Hamaward to monitor their score and to download the Certificate, once reached the minimum score, and the electronic QSL cards from activators.

Each Italian Station will also have a SASC (Special ARI Section Code) valid for New “Diploma delle Sezioni – ASC Award” as shown in the table at the end of these rules.

The Award will take place in two phases:

PHASE I – International Marconi Day, April 27th, 2024

During this phase the italian (IY) and english (GB) marconian stations listed will be on air. Each worked station worths 5 points. Each station can be worked only once per band and per mode (SSB, CW, DIGI). DIGI means any digital modes (e.g.: in 20m, one QSO in RTTY mode and one in FT8 mode with same station will count as one QSO only). Dupes will be erased but they won’t entail any penalty.

PLEASE NOTICE: due to logistic problems, for many IY stations, operating as portable from marconian sites, the web won’t be available. Therefore QSOs won’t be forwarded to Hamaward facility in real time. The ADIF file will be loaded asap, please be patient.

PHASE II – from April 28th to July 27th, 2024

During this phase the IQ stations, the IY stations, the GB stations and the IR station listed above will be on air. The presence of the IY stations could be conditioned by logistical-technical problems, since most part of italian marconian sites are managed by military authorities.  Therefore it is not possible at this time to provide a calendar of the transmissions, which will however be announced in time, on the website www.csmi.altervista.org and on the official C.S.M.I. Facebook page. www.facebook.com/CSMI.IY. In the C.S.M.I web site will be also active a Packet Cluster facility, that will report in real time the presence on air of the italian marconian stations.

Each IQ station worked in this phase will worth 2 points, except the A.R.I Clubstation IR2GMCL that will worth 5 points. The marconian stations, IY and GB, always worth 5 points each one, and can be worked once per band and mode (SSB, CW, DIGI) during the Phase II, regardless to the contacts made during Phase I. Stations IQ can be worked until 3 times on same band an on same mode: once a month. Example: station IQ0AH can be worked on 20m SSB once in May, once in June and once in July. QSOs made on April 28th, 29th and 30th, will be considered as having carried out in May.

Stations IQ belonging to A.R.I. Sections cannot be on air during Phase I.

N.B. To claim the Award it is mandatory for italian and european stations logging at least one contact with a GB station or A.R.I. headquarter station IR2GMCL.

These are the scores to claim the Award:

IQ6AN  15/07/2024  08:00  40m  SSB  LA1ABC  2

Honour Roll Award: it will be issued to all Amateur Radio Stations able to work at least 12 different italian marconian stations. Not available for SWL.

IY and GB stations that cannot work connected to the web should send their ADIF log, even if partial (e.g. if one day the web is down), to the manager: ik2uvr@ari.it and he will forward the log to Hamaward facility,

IY, IQ and GB stations that took part to this event will be awarded with a special participation certificate, in memory of the event.

Wrong data will be examined by the manager. His decisions about the validity of the QSOs/HRDs will be final and unquestionable
