WRTC 2022 Competition Award

1. Purpose
Promotion of  WRTC 2022 – “World Radio Team Championship” Competition during “Iaru HF World Championship Contest” , which will be held 8-9 July 2023.( https://www.arrl.org/iaru-hf-world-championship). This is an Award during a Contest, and every participant must follow the contest rules (passing RS(T)+own ITU Zone for a complete qso).

2. Award  Start / End dates
Start: at 12.00 UTC 8 July  2023 end  11:59 UTC  9 July  2023 (Iaru HF World Championship Contest)

3. YL / OM QSO
Award is issued logging the QSO with competing WRTC stations, in the period indicated at point 2.
List of WRTC stations callsigns (around 61) will be published Friday 7 July on official web site www.wrtc2022.it in the award menu. 2 way SSB or CW QSOs with exchange of reports are valid (RS for SSB, RST for CW + ITU zone).

4. Valid Bands
HF:  3.5 – 7 – 14 – 21 - 28 MHz

CW and SSB

6. Scores / QSOs
To obtain the award, a minimum of 500 points is required as sum of all logged qso with WRTC competing stations.
Award ranking will be available online (wrtc2022.it/award) for operators making QSOs with WRTC stations, based on the total sum of points as on point 8:

7. Point values
10 points for each CW or SSB QSO on each band.
example II1WRTC (or any other WRTC competing stations), QSO on 40m CW, 20m SSB, 10m CW: 10 + 10 + 10 = 30 points)

8. QSO accreditation
Each WRTC station can be worked only once on each band and mode , (QSO points are the same for band and mode).
A "dupe" QSO will not be considered as a penalty but will reduce competing WRTC station efficiency.

9. Score listings and Special Awards Endorsements

"Sprint Award"
Ranking is calculated for:
- Fastest "ALL STATION WORKED" for each continent (Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America).
Minimum requirement: "all station worked" for the award download.

"MOST STATIONS WORKED" (SSB AND CW)
Ranking is calculated based on:
- Highest score
- Greatest number of QSOs
- More bands
- More modes
- Fastest number of special WRTC (World Radiosport Team Championship) processed.
If multiple participants have the same score, the fastest one will be placed in 1st place.
(1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded for each continent).
Minimum requirement: 500 points for the award download.

"ALL STATIONS WORKED"
Minimum requirement: "all station worked SSB - CW" for the award download.

"ALL STATIONS WORKED" on CW
Minimum requirement: "all station worked CW" for the award download.

"ALL STATIONS WORKED" on SSB
Minimum requirement: "all station worked SSB" for the award download.

The winners will be announced and awarded during the Award Ceremony of WRTC 2022 in Bologna on Monday 10 July. (Real-time ranking displayed on the website www.wrtc2022.it/award)

10. Award release and qsl
Issue of the award is free and does not require paper QSLs.
To obtain the award, a minimum of 500 points is required, within the times and methods indicated in these rules.
In case the minimum required 500 points for the award is not achieved, each logged operator will be awarded with a certificate of participation.

The award or certificate of participation is issued by downloading the file in digital format, in high resolution A4 format, without registration, through the website www.wrtc2022.it/award, after the end of the event.
eQsl download will be available in Hamaward.cloud.

TO HELP COMPETITORS AND CONTEST SPONSORS, PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR LOG AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE END OF THE CONTEST
WRTC2022 Award staff and WRTC2022 Judging Committee, although not necessary for the Award,  needs your log for cross check the competing Special WRTC stations logs. It is strongly suggested to send your complete contest log (with WRTC competing stations qso included) as soon as possible in the first six hours after the Contest (18z of Sunday 9 July).
